River Valley Guide Co. is a premier, veteran-owned outfitter specializing in world-class Nova Scotia fishing charters, wilderness exploration, and therapeutic outdoor experiences. Founded in 2022 by Alan Stortts, a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces, our company provides high-intent, fully customized fishing adventures across more than 100 inland lakes, rivers, and coastal waterways throughout Nova Scotia, the Annapolis Valley, and the legendary Bay of Fundy watershed. We bridge the gap between traditional guided fishing Canada trips and modern wellness tourism. While we target trophy species, our core mission is driven by mentorship, education, and mental health advocacy. Our unique programming focuses on wellness fishing experiences and therapeutic outdoor adventures, providing nature-based stress relief for destination travelers, families, and fellow veterans. We proudly work with employer-sponsored Wellness Spending Accounts to position outdoor recreation as a legitimate tool for self-care and well-being. Our fishing vertical covers everything from family fishing trips to highly technical backcountry fishing adventures. Guests can target heavy concentrations of migrating fish with our premier striped bass fishing Nova Scotia packages on the Bay of Fundy river systems, or pursue native species with our brook trout fishing Nova Scotia and smallmouth bass excursions. Our fleet utilizes an 18-foot fishing ski for diverse multi-species water, a Crestliner Jon boat for low-pressure remote lakes, and side-by-side utility vehicles paired with canoes for deep wilderness access. We also provide seasonal ice fishing trips to offer year-round outdoor opportunities. Operating just 15 minutes from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport, River Valley Guide Co. is perfectly positioned for travelers seeking authentic Canada fishing vacations. As a conservation-focused guide service, we protect our local natural resources by manufacturing our own eco-friendly lures and using lead-free, non-toxic tackle whenever possible. Choose River Valley Guide Co. for a purpose-driven, masterfully guided maritime angling adventure.
